Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS)

Aclaris Therapeutics, Inc. ("Aclaris") is committed to providing support for Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS). 

The evaluation criteria include:

  • Business strategy alignment
  • Investigator qualifications
  • Aclaris resources

Aclaris IIS Committee will share further information following review of your concept proposal.

Therapeutic Areas Supported at This Time 

Our current areas of interest are dermatologic conditions such as: seborrheic keratosis; common warts; alopecia areata; and vitiligo.

Important Notes
  • This IIS portal is only to be used to request support for an Investigator-Initiated Study (IIS).
  • Requests for educational grants, exhibits, CME, etc. should be done through our Aclaris Therapeutics Grant Request Portal at
  • Requests must be submitted at least 12 weeks prior to the study start date, to ensure adequate time for your request to be reviewed and processed.
  • Aclaris Therapeutics may support an IIS with funding and/or drug supply or materials (including Aclaris Therapeutics information, placebo, or other medicinal products necessary for the research)
  • We encourage investigators to review our frequently asked questions (FAQ).  Please contact us should you need additional information.
  • Successfully completed submissions will receive an automated confirmation email. Please save often in case the application times out due to inactivity.
  • IIS approvals are not contingent in any way on the use, purchase, prescribing, providing favorable recommendation for or otherwise supporting any current or future Aclaris Therapeutics product. All IIS funding is conducted in accordance with the recommendations and requirements of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) guidelines, applicable laws as well as internal company policies and guidelines.
